Something New

Mansur Gavriel SS16

This fashion season so far has been about discovering new designer talent. Yes we all love the classics Chloe, Burberry, Chanel. But I don't think you can beat finding something new!

Today it's all about shoes shoes shoes! A few days ago whilst scrolling through my Instagram feed I saw the most incredible pair of blue suede mules. I instantly double clicked the image and carried on getting my lunchtime Instagram fix. A few days later with those shoes still on my mind I knew I had to find them. About an hour later (after scrolling through the feed of all those I follow) I found them!!

It turns out there by handbag designer Mansur Gavriel - a designer I've never heard of until now, but one I hope to hear more about in the future.
His designs are simple but unique. The bold colour and strong structure will give any outfit a modern twist. His designs are all about colour and shape - he has truly let the shoe speak for its self.

I feel a high street replica coming our way next SS, or at least I hope so!

March wishlist: Ankle Booties

Top Left to Bottom Right.
ASOS Red Church Kitten Heel, Report Signature Toby Leopard Mid Heel Boot, Topshop Almighty Suede Ankle, Topshop Almighty Leather Ankle, Topshop Magnum, Zara Flat Leather Bootie, Zara Shiny Print High Heeled Bootie, Zara Studded Leather Ankle Boot.

So whilst I should be doing uni work I find my self procrastinating by surfing the web looking for shoes. Whilst scrolling that's when I realised - I don't own a pair of cute ankle booties!
There's something about the ankle boot that makes me think - I need you.
I have been justifying purchasing one of these pairs all afternoon. You know the usual, cost per wear, go with all outfits....the list goes on.

Pinstripes and Pom Poms

Coat and Shirt (here) | H&M. Denim Jacket | Levi's (vintage). Trousers (here) | Dorothy Perkins. Shoes (here) and Bag. Topshop.

It all go at the moment hence the lack of blog posts! But I did manage to snap these somewhat formal pictures this cold (but sunny!) Saturday Morning. Yes - I've been buying more shoes this time its these ever so adorable velvet slippers with the cutest little pom poms!!
Teamed with a new pair of pinstripe trousers and oversized white shirt I felt a little Mia Wallace (AKA Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction). It you haven't seen this cult classic its a must see. Possibly Quentin Tarantino's best work, plus you must see the dancing scene at Jack Rabbit Slim's Dinner - just brilliant!

A Piece of Topshop Unique

On a sunny Wednesday morning a delivery man made me one very happy girl. The shoes I'd been eyeing up for a while finally arrived! Yes I know I've been harping on about these for a while but I couldn't wait to own a piece of Topshop Unique!
As Topshop Unique have an official show at London Fashion Week, I can now say I own a piece of designer clothing (this may not happen very often). All I can say is thank goodness for Unidays (and gift cards).
I just love the simplicity of these shoes we call mules and a chunky heel makes for an easier walk. They may be rather 90's, I do remember Carrie Bradshaw strutting around Manhattan in many a pair and that's possibly why I love them so.
Keep your eyes peeled I'm pretty sure the Mule will become a S|S14 must have.
Now all I need is some more of that sunnier weather we have been having to give them the outing they deserve.
Have a great Weekend.x

Faye's Edit: Blue shoes

I don't know what it is about a bright shoe, but its just makes any outfit look amazing.
Being a lover of blue shoes myself (with 3 pairs in my closet already) I am very excited to see the blue shoe trend return this season. Browsing street style images is something I love to do, and the streets certainly had some of the most amazing blue shoes.......

Pair cobalt tights with teal shoes and make your legs stand out.
 Oh, those blue patent shoes!
Bet on eye-catching blue to brighten up your styles.
